For non Spaniards, Southern Spain may enclose such regions like Andalucia (Andalusia), the province of Malaga and its coastal line known worldwide as the Costa del Sol.
This is not only a sun-and-beach world class tourist destination, but also the most biodiverse region in Europe, with habitats ranging from the coast, wetlands, farmlands, pine tree and Mediterranean forests and rivers to an extraordinary chain of limestone mountains up to 2.000 metres above sea level. All this diversity, housing around 250 regular species of birds, many of which will not be found in central or northern Europe, makes it a haven for birdwatchers.
Birdaytrip offers the visitor either one day trips or birding package tours to really enjoy nature, stunning scenery and, of course, wonderful birds.
Please, have a look to our “One Day Trips” section to know more about our destinations, and also to our “Birding Holidays” section if you need some help with accommodation. Our blog will provide you with useful trip reports to show you what went on in the past during the season you are planning to visit the region.
Enjoy birding in Southern Spain and our Route of 100 Birds!
