Birding at the Mouth of the Guadalhorce (Costa del Sol, Malaga, Andalucia, Southern Spain)

Another fantastic day at this emblematic birding site of the Costa del Sol, with a very early start to watch Red-necked Nightjars and a good representation of seagulls including Yellow-legged, Black-headed, Audouin’s, Slender-billed and even a late Lesser Black-backed one.

Bird watching at the Mouth of the Guadalhorce (Costa del Sol, Malaga, Andalucia, Southern Spain)

With much fewer mosquitos than expected, we have spent a wonderful morning birding at the Mouth of the Guadalhorce, with a wide variety of waders still on passage and our emblematic White-headed Ducks and Kentish Plovers.
