Bird watching at the Charca Suarez (Motril) from Nerja (Andalucia, Southern Spain)

John and I spent a wonderful morning enjoying the gems of this well managed wetland in Motril, on the coast of Granada.

A little shower that made John and I run into the first hide welcomed us in the morning, but from then on, great views of many birds including Purple Swamphen, Bluethroat, White Stork, Water Rail, Little Bittern, Ferruginous Duck, Crested Coot, Water Pipit and Kingfisher.
